I wasn't there for the interview, I am writing this based on what my husband told me about it. He said that the main problem was a very long wait, that he was there early for his 8:30 a.m. appointment, but that together with all the other immigrant visa applicants he had to come back after lunchtime in order to have the actual interview. This was difficult for him as he had traveled to Caracas the day before, and was staying in a cheap hotel that wouldn't let him pay more than one night at once. He had to rush back to the hotel at lunch time and pay for another night, so they wouldn't get rid of the stuff like his cell phone that he couldn't take to the embassy. He said that most of the staff and officers treated him well, except one guy when he first got there that tried to make him stand in the line for non-immigrant visas. He knew better, due to my reading of VJ.
He said they didn't really ask him any questions in the interview, except someone who dealt with him before the CO ask how long we had been married.
Overall it was a positive experience, except for the very long wait.
