Everything went really great. I was not nervous, I was actually really expectant and excited to hear their "yes".
MEDICAL EXAM----1st day
The first day, (medical exam) I went with my aunt who lives in CJ (she also hosted me) and there were some guys directing traffic...they said we should go register at an office on the street next to us so we went. We went in, it was a small office and they asked for my papers. At first, everything seemed ok until this man started to tell me that I was did not have 1 paper. I thought to myself..."hmmm...I have everything"
He said that I needed to pay 221 dlls at the clinic and 150 dlls. to him. I said "Excuse me, but I do not remember a place where they mentioned those 150 dlls." He went on and on saying that I needed to pay, etc.
That is when I knew this guy was committing a fraud. I said that I would make some phone calls and left.
BE CAREFUL with that stuff. At first, it seems so subtle but it is not good.
My medical exams went great! Don't be scared, as everybody says, always be honest. I went to Clinica Médica Internacional and everything was professional and clean. They give you clear instructions and you can ALWAYS ask for help if you need it. They are there to help you!!
CAS----2nd day
Fingerprints and photo was really fast and easy, it is right next to the embassy and there is an OXXO (store)right next to it where you can get water and snacks.
The people that works at the CAS are all mexican (I believe) and they are all nice.
INTERVIEW----3rd day
I went at 6.30 am aprox. my interview was at 7.15. As I arrived to the waiting room, we started walking towards the consulate to get in line. You can walk faster than other people, there is no particular order whenever you are walking to the consulate. I went in, security checked us and gave us a number. After that, we all went in and sat inside the interview room.
First, they call your number so that you deliver some papers with a Mexican person at the window like: birth certificate, etc. they ask you a couple of questions and then, they ask you to go sit at a certain color chair . I went to the green chairs and waited for a window to open, the guy in charge of acommodating everybody told me I was next.
I walked towards the window and a very smiley lady greeted me. The first thing she said was that she loved the pink folders...(pink folders are assigned to K1 visas), hehe. She asked me questions like:
"Where did you meet?"
"What does he do?"
"When do you want to get married?"
She was very nice, she even told me her boyfriend lives in the same city as my fiancé and if I had my dress ready, etc.
Overall, she was nice, she smiled at me all the time and at the end she said "Congratulations, your visa has been approved, good luck on everything"
I wanted to cry and laugh. I said "Thank you very much" and left; I was so happy to hear her answer.
Have peace on everything, everything they ask you you are supposed to know. They will see how authentic your case is because it is! Take courage!
Feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns
