Writing on behalf of my husband's experience at Casablanca
Arrived at embassy at 7:30am. Checked in, went through pat down security at 7:40am. Went through full security inside around 7:50am. Went inside and sat down waiting for his name to be called. Around 8:15am an american blonde woman called his name and asked how he was doing? He said good, she took his fingerprints and asked him to have a seat. The waiting area was full now. After waiting around 20 minutes a Moroccan man called his name and asked for his medical papers. He also asked to see the Arabic Marriage Certificate. He opened the packet and took out a paper, asked for his cell phone number, and asked "have you ever been outside of Morocco? How long? why?" and then was asked to have a seat again. After 20 more minutes an American man called his name and started to talk but my husband could not hear him. (a problem with his microphone!) The Moroccan man helped him with his microphone. After they got the communication straight my husband was given a paper on his rights in America and asked if he understood his rights. Then the questions started.
When did you meet? Where did you meet? Who proposed and when? He asked why so fast? Why are you interested in her? What were you looking for online? When did she visit, how long did she stay? What happened on the visit? How many people at the wedding? Why not more people? How did she pay for her 4 trips on her income? Does your wife have kids, if so how many and their ages? Did you meet the kids? How is your relationship with the kids? Do you and your wife plan on having children? How do you know your sponsor? (asked again how we met and where we met) Do you have pictures together? (my husband showed him the 2 books I made from shutterfly) Asked why again? Why get married so fast? Why her? He was then told to have a seat. A few minutes later was called back up to the window. "your visa is approved, come pick it up on xxx day" And he was given a pink receipt.
My husband said it was a very good experience. He was very calm. And it did not take too long at all.
