Both my fiancé and I were presented for interview on 1/21/14 (we were interviewed by two male officers). We provided all the documents required, 100 pages of emails, text, photos, phone calls, my two boarding passes visiting my fiancé considering the US-Cuba embargo. We thought all went well at the interview, but at the end of the interview we were told the consulate will call my fiancé in two weeks in the mean time he was give a white sheet of paper saying to bring a new police report on 1/29/14 even though what he presented at the interview was not expired and he has clear report. So when he returned his new police report on the 29th of January they took his passport as well as the new clear police report, at that time they told him to go back a week later. When he went a week later, they returned his passport back and told him they will give him call, but they didn’t say when. We waited a month and half no phone call from the consulate office, then I contacted my congressman and asked to contact the Interest Section on my behalf, the consulate responded to the congressman office by saying we didn't prove bona fide relationship and they are returning our petition back to USCIS. Which is absolutely absurd because we think we have a lot of proves of bona fide relationship. Interestingly the consulate wouldn’t even bother to tell us what the outcome of the interview was or why they made my fiancé go back to the Interest section two times after the interview, but not giving any reasons; if it wasn’t for the congressman they totally ignored us. So our option is now CR-1 visa and we already got married and we are husband and wife now. It is funny that the visa status online still shows READY for interview, interestingly the status update date even changed 8/19/2014 and still says READY for interview. It is painful processed, but we are READY to do whatever it takes to be together. So my advice to you all is don’t give up.
