The following is transcribed from my fiance's tale of his experiences:

Make sure you leave home with plenty of time to spare. More than once, during this process, we've had issues with the trains and busses being late, and the interview day was no exception. I arrived about an hour ahead of time. I walked around the place about three times before going to stand by the Embassy gate. About fifteen minutes later, other people arrived. There was a girl there, also for a K-1 interview. I was stripped of my phone and MP3 player in an outdoor tent and was sent through another door. I got a receipt to get them back after the itnerview.

So I go inside and wait in a warm room. The TV has CNN on and try to make small-talk. Soon enough, I get called to a window and a guy checks stuff over with me. I had to show the affidavit, birth certificate, proof of money-transfer, and sign a form. Then I was told to go sit down again and wait until called. A bit later, I get called up to another window where a different guy talks to me. He asked where we met, what made me want to marry her and such. I blabbed on for a good three minutes before he told me I was approved.

The hardest part was waiting in line to get my MP3 player and phone back.
