Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We left 3 hours early although it's only a 40 minute drive... thank god; traffic was so bad that we arrived 10 minutes before our appointment was scheduled.

After checking in, we waited for about 30 minutes until they called us both in. The officer was very friendly.

She asked both of us the following questions:

1) What's your spouse's name, birthday, and date of birth?
2) Where does your spouse work and what do they do - what jobs did they have in the last 5 years?
3) Where do you live? Where did your spouse live before you moved in together?
4) Did you meet each other's parents?
5) Where do your spouse's parents live?
6) How did you meet?
7) What's the name of the band you both like (we met because of that band)
8) What do you do for fun together?
9) What's their favorite food? (We said we like to go out to eat a lot)
10) What books do they read? (Also said we are homebodies.. I love reading)
11) Where did you go to school?

Then the yes/no questions from the i-485. Lastly, she asked us we have any other evidence we'd like to show her.

We gave her our rental agreement with both of our names, joint car insurance, joint health insurance, old DL that shows the same address of the state we lived in last year, joint tax return, 10 family pictures, joint checking and savings account statement, and joint credit card account.

She didn't really look at the bona fide evidence but kept all of it for our file.

Lastly, she made a copy of my EAD, driver's license and passport. She took my i-94 but returned my EAD.

I wasn't approved today but she's holding it for review and were told that if we don't hear anything within 120 days, we should make an info pass appointment.

Overall, I think it went well.
