Arrived at 7:00 am and husband was the fourth person in line
The guard let him in at 7:15 am and asking for Aramex paper – some people did not have the Aramex paper and those who did not have the Aramex paper, a gentleman said, “follow me and we’ll print it”
Appointment at 7:30 pm
Grabbed number 604, 3 others in front of him
Went to window #13 to give Egyptian woman working there the papers to be checked in:
Passport
Original marriage contract (English & Arabic)
Military record (Original)
Police certificate (Original)
Sponsor’s salary statement
Bank of America bank statements
Prior year taxes (2013, 2012 & 2011)
1 passport photo with WHITE background
Husband couldn’t find taxes so he found bank statements instead. The lady said, “It doesn’t show all the salary. It’s not enough for your sponsor to guarantee you.” Husband then said, hold on, I'll be right back and went to go sit down to find the taxes and brought them back to window 13. He found other people being asked for their taxes while he was patiently waiting to the side to return the taxes. The lady officer says, “it’s not enough” and husband replies with, "my wife makes $75,000 USD per year. How is it not enough? That's $6,000 month." She nods yes and gets the taxes and he moves over to window 16 where his name is being called at the present time.
The American male consular officer was in his mid-20's with blonde hair, beard and his eyes were brown. There was another manager behind him as well during the duration of the interview (I assume to watch my husband's body language for false information)

You are a tourist guide right? “Yes" (husband's response)
You know because you made a tour for her? “Yes” (husband's response)
She likes to travel, right? She seems to travel a lot.
Which country does your wife prefer for travel?
Why UAE? I think Italy is much better than UAE because there's more sightseeing to do (Consular officer's response)
What’s the name of your spouse’s parents?
Where do they live?
Where does your wife live?
Did your wife become Muslim? “No, not yet” (Husband's response)
Tell me then why is your wife wearing the scarf? “She finds all the women outside the house wearing a scarf, so she decides to wear one on her own” (husband's response)
When and where did you and your wife get engaged? “Through the mobile in November 2012” (husband's response)
You said you met her in July 2012 and you get engaged in November 2012…it’s very fast…very fast….how?
You looking are for citizenship, you got engaged fast to get citizenship faster.
*Husband laughs and officer laughs then stops abruptly with a serious face*
Okay can you swear after me right now during the Ramadan month that is very holy for Allah, can you swear that you love your wife and you are not looking for citizenship?
“If you approve or not, I will still continue relations with my wife” (husband's response)
*officer nods head in a yes direction*

Okay Mohamed, mabrook you are approved and qualified to go to the USA and get your visa
Husband was then given his approval letter
Advised that there will have to pay $165 fee before departing for USA (USCIS fee)
In 10-14 days, you will receive your passport from the office you chose through Aramex before
If more than 14 days, follow up with this link and give a phone call to Aramex
"Do you have the documents that my wife sent to the NVC?" (Husband's question)
The officer then returned to him the original marriage contract that I sent to NVC (Only given back Arabic contract, not the English translation), given back birth certificate that was sent to NVC as well, military record, and police certificate
Done with interview at 8:30 am
