Kelly petitioning for Alfredo's kids (her stepkids): Overall the experience was great/easy. The only hassle was getting to the new location. It is a very nice complex, but it is quite far from the city center, bus station, airport, etc. One child came down sick the night before the interview, and the people at the consulate were very nice letting us jump to the front of the two (not very long to begin with) lines we had to be in (one outside, one inside) and do our interview right away even though we were a little earlier than the half hour before requested. As for the actual interview, they only asked for the required passports/photos/medicals and our documents that show proof of marriage. They didn't ask for any proof of genuine parental relationship (maybe because we were both there?). When they called us back they asked the kids their ages, asked the youngest where her mom was, and took the older two's fingerprints. Their was a "problem" with one of the medicals, but they called the doctor and found it to be a typo, and the kids were approved.
