Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Hello VJ Members,

I am thankful to God for our approval. Although this process felt like eternity and I sometimes wished we had just filed the I-129 Fiancé visa since it's a shorter processing time. After it all, we made the best decision.

My husband said they had asked him lots of questions which were very specific to the information we sent them. Basically I put in the hard work ahead of time by providing lots of information when submitting our I-130 application last year. I had created a word document consisting a timeline of our relationship with photos plus pages of call log both from AT&T and Vomoz (international calling card service I used), Skype call logs.

He answered every question in full confidence and accurately which impressed the CO. She asked to view more photos but the other additional documents he brought were not seen such as more more call logs.

- Questions related to our relationships: when, how, proposal, etc
- Questions related to my U.S residence & my job
- Questions about our wedding which we only did civil/court wedding. So She asked him if he paid my bride price and if we did a traditional wedding.

From my Husband: there were 3 interviewers/CO, which he was not very fond of two out of the 3 because he had watch them deny some people but also those applicants did not have the necessary documents or could not answer all questions asked. He was lucky to get the CO that was more pleasant & hoped for.

Our Advice to others: Prior to the interview, make sure you read thru all the submitted forms & documents because they also study that to gather some interview questions. Have all your supporting documents, know all your facts about your spouse. I recommend you & your spouse play role going thru list of questions which I found on VJ. Be confident & speak to them with respect and don't answer or give up more information which was not asked. Lastly put it all in prayers

Feel free to send me a message if you have any specific questions regarding my husband's interview process to better guide you. I wish you all the best on your visa journey and reuniting with your loved ones.
