My husband went to the consulate today for his interview, which was supposed to be 6/26, but they called him a few weeks ago and said to bring his original appointment letter but come on 6/24. He had no problems getting in, and we were prepared with all kinds of recent evidence (phone records, emails, bank statements, tax returns, etc.), but they did not ask for any of it. When it was his turn, he went to the window, and he said the consular officer was friendly. He said they asked him only a few questions: how we met, what his mother thought about me, what family members I have met in person, what I do for a living, what he thinks he will do for a living once he is here, what he did for a living now. Then they gave him a receipt, and he waited for another officer to call his name. She gave him her congratulations, and she explained what to expect further, that his passport would be ready in 5 days, and he would receive a big envelope in the mail, etc. He said the experience was wonderful, and they were very nice to him.
