Well the good news is I didn't loose my temper, cry or bash the clerk over the head with my file!!!
Bad news is, it was a no!
How ever the day didn't go with out event so here's what happened.
Got there at 7am directions were very easy to follow. There were 16 people already in line. By 7.15 there were over 30 people in line and by 7.45 probably nearer to 60 odd! The good news if there are 2 of you, one can stay in line while the other walks to Dunkin Doughnuts!
By 7.30 ish parking was impossable, and a lady double parked her car - that was the first 'event' of the day. The security guy went nuts (talk about small man, big muscles syndrome ) he absolutley screamed at her to move her car, then she screamed back and it ended in a total slanging match in front of everyone in line, not sure about you guys but when a p***ed off security guy with a gun asks me to move my car it wouldn't take me long to move it!
So with that over we are ushered in to the office in groups of 5 by a differant security guy.
Mr Small guy, big muscles security man gave us ticket #13 (yer I know should have just gone home then!)
So we're all quietly sitting there when a woman comes in to the room and shouts 'anyone for Green card renewals' a few people raised there hands so she shouts back 'we don't do that here go to Philly - thank you goodbye' seriously she wouldn't answer any questions just said GO TO PHILLY.
Then the worst bit well for me anyway there was this poor couple from Asia there very confused, from what I could work out the woman obviously had a K1 visa, and the man was trying to say that he needed a work permit. Well he didn't need a work permit what he was trying to ask for was ID for her as he couldn't get a marraige lisence without ID for her. I think the County Courts Office had sent them there.
Poor couple were sooooo in the wrong place but they couldn't get her to listen she just kept screaming at them that they hadn't filed a EAD and they needed to go to Philly. She wouldn't listen to them at all. I so wanted to go and help but Mr small man, big muscles security man was hovering and everyone was just straing at this woman and the way she was treating them it was truely awful.
Then we got called - was told no way, write to Missori, no they don't have a phone number. When I asked what is 'emergent' they said death or criticly ill family member and you need LOTS of proof.
Any how K3 gossip I met another Brit there (we're everywhere!) any how he came in on the VW and got married, filed through a lawyer, was advised not to go on Honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, against advise he went. At POE he explained what had happened was given another 1-94 VW told it wouldn't affect him but he may have to change the I 94 # on his forms!
He walked out of Cherry Hill with an temp EAD on day 91. I am really not sure how the K3 route works, but to leave the US when you married on a VW and be allowed in again (?) and then get a temp EAD. Is it one rule for one and one rule for another?
Any how must dash going to try and write to the Congressman...............
