Hello everyone! Here is the story of our trip to Frankfurt!

Our appointment was at 7:30 on the 27th of May, and we decided to drive to Frankfurt and stay at the Best Western around the corner the night before. It was super convenient to do it this way -- especially because you can leave all restricted items in your room there during your appointment. You will go through the security much faster if you follow the instructions -- a lot of people in front of us were stuck because they brought big bags, electronics etc and it just makes the line go more slowly for everyone.

Anyways -- we got in very quickly and went straight to the cashier to pay. He took my husband's passport and passed the papers along to the next officer who called us up 5 minutes later. She was SUPER friendly and professional and just checked with us that all documents were correct & complete. We had a short minute of "oh no!" as she told us our medical results had not yet arrived. She must have seen the look on our faces, as she told us it was nothing to worry about. She went and had a second look and it turned out it HAD arrived --just later than expected. She did mention to us that the Berlin Doctor (where we had our medical) was a bit "special" -- so if you're going there shortly before your appointment -- I think it makes a lot of sense to call and check up that your documentation was sent.

We barely sat down for a few minutes before we were called up to the interview window. My husband was asked 3 questions:
-How did you meet your wife?
-Where does your wife work?
-What are your plans in the USA?

We were at the consulate for a total of about 40 minutes, and our visa was approved. Quite pleasant and easy-peasy
