My fiance's appointment was at 10:00. We arrived an hour early because we were afraid there would be long lines, but there were only a few people in line. They let him go in (I had to wait outside) around 9:15.
He said he and one woman were the only K-1 visa interviews for the morning (probably for the day). They went through all the tourist visas first (denying all of them) and then continued onto the work visas, ending with the two fiance visas.
They asked him to swear he genuinely loves me and then started the interview. They asked where I live in America, where we will get married, why it is a different place than my home state (my grandpa is sick), why he had originally applied for a tourist visa in September and then applied for the K-1 visa in October (we wanted him to be in the States for Christmas/New Year), and finally said he would receive his passport in approximately one week. He asked if that meant he was approved, and she said yes!
All in all, it took 3 hours from entry to exit, and for anyone waiting outside, be aware there are no chairs, no tables, and no nearby shops. Bring a blanket to sit on and snacks to enjoy while waiting.
