I had my interview on March 28, 2014 I arrived at the consulate in Frankfurt at 7:30 am and my interview was at 8:00 am.
There was already a small amount of people standing in the line for "non-immigrant" Visas but since I had a K1 Visa I had to go in the line for "All others" (if you don't know where to go, there is always an officer standing in front of the lines and guide you also in which line you have to go)
in my line was only one girl in front of me and after one minute I was going to the window and I gave my invitation letter and my passport to the lady behind the window.
She then handed me a ticket with a letter and a number on it.
Then I had to go through the security check, very easy and quick, everybody is really friendly!
After that I went to the next building (you have to walk from the security over a small path to the next building (outside).
When you go inside this building you go to this information desk and this person is checking your little ticket that you got from the lady in the beginning.
Then you go to window 22 and there the guy wanted to see my passport and this little ticket again. The guy checked everything and told me to sit down and to wait until my number is getting called from this little ticket.
I was sitting around 5 minutes until my little ticket was getting called.
The guy in window 20 showed me which envelope is coming to me, if I would get approved and which I can open and which not, very easy!
He told me that I could sit down again and should wait until my name or the number from my little ticket is getting called again and that then, my interview would start with the CO.
I was waiting around 20 minutes until the CO called my name and he asked me if I wanted to do the interview in english or german. I did it in english and it was so easy!
Only questions were:
- How did you and your fiance met?
- When did y'all met the first time in person?
- What is your fiance doing for a living?
- After your last visit in June 2013 did he met you again in Germany?
- Where are you going to live in the United States?
AND THAT'S IT!
He didn't wanted to see anything out of my folder that I prepared since over 6 Months!
After the questions he did something administrative on the PC for almost 5 minutes and told me two times in this 5 minutes that I shouldn't be worried everything is fine with my application, it's just his PC that isn't working how he wanted it . Because he looked sometimes a little confused....
He told me then, if the Visa shouldn't arrive in 7 until 10 days I should call the embassy again and ne said "Congratulations you are approved"
