Hubby had his interview on Friday and was approved!!! Praise God! Below is his account of how the interview went for him.
He was the first person in line and went through all the security check. They called him in and gave him a tag with a number on it. He met a lady at the entrance to get into the interview hall, she told him to press B on the machine and cut the tag that will come out from it. Then he got into the Hall. He sat and waited about 30 minutes then they called his name. He went to a woman who asked for his passport and 2 passport photographs and his medical results. Then she said I should go back and sit until they call him. After about another 20 minutes he saw hi tag number showing on the screen so he went to the interviewer, he was a Chinese guy. He told him to raise his right hand and make an oath that he will tell the truth today and then he took his fingerprints. Then the interview began. Here are the questions he remembers being asked:
1. Who is petitioning for you?
2. Where did you meet her?
3. How did you start communicating?
4. Where does she work?
5. What department?
6. How long has she worked there?
7. When did we meet in person?
8. Why hasn't your wife been to visit more than once?
9. He asked for my name on Facebook (and couldn't find me, which shocked Hubby a little. Then he also asked for my husbands name on Facebook and said he couldn't find him either. So hubby asked him if he spelled our name correctly. He thinks the interviewer was just trying to throw him off a little to see how he would react, because he just passed on to the next questions.)
10. Why wasn't any of her family at the wedding?
11. Does your wife live with anyone?
12. Is it a house or apartment?
13. How many bedrooms?
14. Where did she live before St. Louis?
15. How long has she lived in St. Louis?
Then he asked for our pictures and chat/call logs. He gave them to him. Then he returned it all to him and said you are approved. He gave him a white form and circled the address where to pick up his visa in 5 working days.
He said he told him thank you and smiled so big. Then he said to the other people in the Hall...good luck!
Overall, the interview experience went smoothly.
Now we just wait a few more days and he will be home and we can finally start our lives together.
