My fiancé had his interview 3-10-14 in Dublin and it was a very laid back experience starting with the security guard. He had my fiances passport, asked his full name, then passport number. My fiancé replied, "jeeze I don't know, you have my passport, I don't have that memorized" lol. The guard laughed and replied, "aww just joking with ya", letting him in, putting his keys and phone in a locker then gave Richy the key. He took a number and left his packet containing his affidavit, evidence of on going relationship, police clearance, medical exam with the consulate staff. He then say and waited to be called back up. He waited only briefly then went to the window after his name was called and spoke with a pleasant gentleman. He was asked how we met, have we met in person and when, where do I live, do I have children, does he plan to work when he gets here (kind of a trick question, cannot legally work until you obtain your green card or work permit, which ever comes first). That was pretty much it. He told Richy he was approved and Richy said, "I would hug you neck if you weren't on the other side of that glass" LOL! The man told Richy he was delighted to see how happy it made him. Visa should be in the mail within the week! We're ecstatic and so thankful for the professionalism the Dublin embassy exhibited. If you ever have any questions for them too before the interview, all you have to do is email them dublincons@state.gov and they will usually reply by the next day. Good luck to all! Keep your head up and be patient!!!!
