After reading some reviews on this website I knew what to look for, however the interview was NOT without complication.
Arrived early (7.30am) for 8am interview.
Headed up lift just after 8am after dropping off bag to security
Only had to wait around 15-30 minutes before being called up by number.
Handed documents over and the girl handed my original documents back. She had to make more copies of some of the documents as they were apparently missing, even though I sent them ALL in Packet 3 My advice is to take extra copies of all civil documents in case they screw up and lose some (which they seem to do regularly)
Then I sat back down and girl seemed to take an eternity before handing file over to person doing interview.
Girl was in her 30s and stoned face. Asked me a million questions about my marriage, where I was married, when, who my wife's parents were, what am I going to do in the US etc.
Then we hit a snag around the I-864 as there apparently no application for one of the household members (my wife's father). This form had been sent to the NVC months ago. She was about to send me home to get this application completed.
Luckily I had a spare original, which completed the application then and there.
Visa was approved and now I sit and wait so I can be with my family again after 6 weeks apart.
