My Intervew was scheduled for 7.30. I was a little bit early (6.45) but I was already third in line. The whole procedure didnt even take 45 minutes. First you have to go to the counter (outside) and show them your invitation letter to the Interview. Then go trough a security check similar to a security check at an airport (inside a building). Then go to the next building and go to counter 2x, I don´t remember exactly. The officer speaks german and goes trough all the documents that you have sent them. Didn´t take more than 2 minutes. Officer asked me to take a seat and wait to be called by the officer at the next counter. After 15 minutes the officer called be to her window and explained to me (in german) where I will have to line up at the airport once I am travelling to the US and she told me about how I will receive my Visa after it will be approved.
She asked me to have a seat again and wait to be called by the officer at the next window. After another 15 minutes, the third officer called me to his window. He spoke english with me and started the Interview by letting me take an oath and taking my fingerprints. When I looked through the window while he was busy typing something in his computer I saw my file on his desk and it stated "approved" although we haven´t even started yet (YAY!)
He asked me a couple of questions about my fiancé: What is his job? How did you meet and if we have correspondet since? Has he been to Germany? What is the name of the webiste you have met on? Do you have any pictures with you?
I answered all of the questions and luckily decided to print out some pictures of my fiancé and I the day before the interview at a drugstore (phewww) and handed him the pictures. He looked at them for some seconds and handed them back to me.
He then said that he doesn´t know of any reason why I should not receive the visa. And that I should receive the visa in mail within the next 10 business days.
All in all he was polite but didn´t show any reaction (positive or negative) during the interview. But I guess it just comes with the job.
The first 2 officers and also the security staff were very polite!
