Moscow, Russia | Review on February 14, 2014: | sinbad
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
She called me to say approved at 1130 Moscow time, so it must have been relatively fast for the wait. The only thing she commented on was the oath to tell the truth.
Many couples there for the K-1 interview, she was the only 'single'. Maybe Valentines Day was a factor? She was asked where I was, and she replied 'He has to work.'
The interviewer was a man, very professional. Interview was in both English and Russian. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. Many questions about my work, my mother, my house in Florida, and my house in Maryland. She was asked twice if she was sure that I have never been married. She explained that I lived with my ex, and her 2 daughters, for many years, but have never been married. She was asked several times if she still had her secret clearance (from Russia), and she said several times that she was retired, with pension, and the secret clearance had been revoked. She apparently talked at length about the squirrels here and in Florida, taxes, the beaches and going dancing in DC. She is higher than a kite, and I am as happy as someone who is in 'Administrative Processing' can be. The status on the CEAC website was already changed to AP when she called me. (last update date on website is now today)
For everyone who has suffered through the 1000 questions of preparation, to only have a 3 question interview, rest assured it paid off in this case. She was talking for 30 minutes? Considering how fast she talks, I am sure the officer now knows more about me than my mother.
Good luck all
