My interview was scheduled for 7:45, I arrived 7:30 like I was told. I had to wait about 15 minutes outside in line to get a waiting number. It was pretty cold that day, but they put out heating lamps, which was very considerate. After I had gone through security, I walked to another building, where I was given further instructions: where to wait and what's going to happen in what order.

I talked to three officers. The first checked if there were any fees left to pay and the second explained the package I was going to get in the mail, in case of a successful interview with the third officer, who asked question regarding the I-129 petition. For instance, I studied in the U.S., so he wanted to know which state my college was located in. He asked where my fiancée lives and if that's close to the college. After that he asked what my fiancée does and what profession I plan on following in the U.S.. After roughly 5 minutes (perhaps 6-8 questions), he said that my visa was approved!

Overall, my experience at the General Consulate in Frankfurt was great. Everyone was very friendly and professional. There was a misunderstanding about sending in a stamp for the return envelope. They handled it with humor and were very nice to me.
