My fiancé attended his interview at 8am on 12/23/13. He said it was a lot of waiting. He was interviewed by a female for about 45 minutes and she asked A lot of questions one right after another about everything... How we met, why he was on a dating site, if he was looking for an American, how long he was on the dating site for, she asked about my career in detail, she asked about my kids in detail, she asked about my children's fathers, she asked a lot about my trip to Morocco and what all we did while I was there, she asked about his brother who lives here in America and about his relationship with his girlfriend.... My fiancé said it was very stressful but he knew all the answers to everything except how his brother met his girlfriend which has nothing to do with us so that's the only thing he didn't know. She asked if he had brought any evidence for her to look over and he handed over all our pictures, my cell phone bills, our conversations by Skype and Facebook throughout the year, all my trip documentation from when I traveled to Morocco... We had a lot of supporting evidence of our relationship. She handed him back his passport and told him she needed time to go through everything and they would contact him. My fiancé left very worried and upset. He contacted me as soon as he got back home to tell me everything and after we talked he took a nap and when he woke he seen he had 3 missed calls from the embassy. He was upset he missed their calls but we both knew that it was a good sign that they called the same day. The very next day just after we hung up from gmail video chatting he got another call from the embassy and they asked him if he could please bring his passport back to them on the following Monday 12/30/13. He told them of course. That was it though. We assume this means he was approved and they his passport to issue the visa. And if he takes it to them 12/30/13 we are hoping its ready to be picked up on or before 1/6/14 so he can leave on the 1/9/14 to arrive in Detroit by 1/10/14 our 1 year anniversary!!
