My interview was at Abu Dhabi. The appointment letter said 8am so I got there at 7:20am but there were 11 people already in line before me. We were asked to show the guards our passport & appointment letter and wait outside the gate. At 8am we were called two at a time for security check at the gate and we were asked to leave our bags there and proceed to the inner building. Here we were given a token (so the earlier you get there, the better) and asked to wait. When my number came up at one of the counters, I went up there and was asked for my passport, appointment letter & the small packet from the medical exam. Then she asked me for all the forms (DS 230, 156, 156K, 157 & Affidavit of support with tax slip) and then for photocopies of birth certificate + translation, PCCs & passport. She asked me whether I had paid online, I told her I did and handed over the printed receipt. Then she asked me to go to the next counter for fingerprints, there was a queue there so I was asked to wait (They scanned fingertips of both left and right hands). After that I was asked to wait for my number to be called out for the interview. There were three officers taking interviews at that time, two in private rooms and one at a counter, my number came up at the counter. The officer asked me to raise my right hand and put me under oath first, then she asked me a few questions
1. How did you meet your fiancé ?
2. When did you meet your fiancé for the first time ?
3. Where does your fiancé work ?
4. What do you do in the UAE ?
5. When did your fiancé go to the US ?
And then she returned the pictures my fiancé had submitted with the petition and said "So you're going to Texas" and gave me a pink slip saying I could collect my passport at 2pm on Monday. We had registered for courier service online but when I asked the counter at the entrance, they told me that they weren't offering that service any longer.
I was out of there in less than 2 hours and everyone was pretty friendly.
