My husband and I arrived at the Casablanca consulate at 7:45am. They started letting people in at 8am. While my husband went in for his interview, I waited outside for him. He went in and was sitting there and after about an hour and a half a man called my husband's name. Then he asked him some questions like:
Have you ever traveled outside Morocco?
What are your degrees?
Where does your wife live?
When did you get your High school diploma?
What is your occupation?
When did you get your B.A.?
Then he gave my husband back copies of the papers that I sent of our packages and our original marriage certificate. Then he asked my husband to go back to his seat and they will call him in a bit.
After about an hour and a half, they called him to a separate room. There was this lady there and she asked my husband to swear that the information on these forms are true. Then she asked him questions like:
How did you meet your wife?
where did you meet?
How and when did your romance start?
how many times did your wife visit Morocco since being with you?
what does your wife do?
Who is the co-sponsor?
How is the co-sponsor related to your wife?
That's basically it. Then she told my husband that she knows our marriage will be a successful marriage. She also said that they need some time for Administrative Processing. She handed my husband back his passport and she gave him form 221g.
Advice: You don't need a lawyer for this process trust me! I did it on my own and with the help of Visajourney of course. Save the money that you will be handing out to the lawyer for a vacation when your spouse arrives.
Overall the Casablanca consulate wasn't that bad. I mean we had to wait for about 4 months for the Administrative Processing to be cleared. I was about to go insane in those 4 months, but hamdolah everything went great. Don't give up!
