Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Background:
Both Moroccans
My husband is older than me
Same religion
Visited him 3 times
Married for 1 year
Both never married before
No children

My husband's interview was on the 29th of October at 8:30 am. He had to travel to the city of Casablanca and rent a hotel near the consulate. The next day, when he arrived there was a line of people across the consulate. The officer asked for the appointment letter and passport. Then he had a metal detector that the officer used for security check.

My husband was allowed to go up to the window and give the lady his passport and the 2 by 2 photos. He then was allowed to enter the consulate. He went through a hallway where he was met by to security officers. He had to take off his belt and anything inside his pockets. Everything had to be put in a box to run through the scanner machine. The security officer patted my husband down. Then he was able to proceed.

My husband took a seat of the few rows of chairs. He happened to be the first ones to be called. The man with the goatee called up my husband to the window. He asked him "Were you ever married before?" My husband noticed he had a checklist that he was crossing when he answered that question. Then he asked for his medical envelope. He opened the medical envelope and reviewed everything. He then asked my husband "Would you like the interview to be in Spanish or English." My husband is not so fluent in English, so he chose to take it in Arabic, but he kept insisting him to take it in English.

My husband then went back to his seat to wait for the second part. He noticed that the other people that were going to the man with goatee were taking way longer than he did. After five minutes he was called by the lady with the blonde hair. Standing next to her was a Moroccan translator. The blonde lady was super nice and was smiling while the translator seemed to be very stern.

Once my husband arrived at the window he noticed that the photos that I had sent to USCIS were sitting on her desk. He had his fingerprints taken. My husband then had to raise his had and swear that he is saying nothing but the truth. My husband was then asked the following question:

How did you meet?
When was your wedding?
Did she come this year of 2013?
When did she go back to America? (specific date)
How many times do you talk to each other?

The blonde lady asked for no kind of evidence from my husband. They seemed to be very impressed at the way I organized everything. While my husband was answering the question she was looking at the computer. Then she gave back our pictures that I had sent to USCIS and our original marriage certificate.

Then she gave my husband a paper she said "Here is a paper to know your rights in America." As soon as he heard her say that he knew he was APPROVED!
Then gave him a pink paper stating to pick up his visa on Thursday at 3:30.
He was out the consulate in less than 35 minutes!

My husband picked up his visa and will be coming to America this week!!!! Inshallah!!!
