Appointment was scheduled for 8:45 a.m. but at 8:00 a.m. there was a Chinese fire drill once they opened the gate and everyone pushed their way to where two ladies were checking passports against a list of names. They pulled a sticker and placed it on the passport and then let them proceed into the security check point. I waited just outside while all of this was happening but could see. Fiancée was out at 9:45 a.m. with approval letter in her hands and a big smile on her face. The interviewer only asked three questions and then asked her to write my name down on a piece of paper. The questions were simple like, why I came to china and how we meet.
I had prepared the I-134 form along with a letter from my employer, bank statements, last 3 year tax summaries and last 3 year W2s. They only took the form and my last year W2.
I had also printed out all of the emails received (5 or 6 of them) from the USCIS and the embassy, which they took all of them. It was a surprise that they wanted these.
Overall it was quick and painless.
