My fiancee's account was relatively positive. She arrived at 8:30 am and there was already a line of about 6 or 7 people even though the embassy opened at 9 am. When they let people in, there were storage areas for phones, etc. although they suggest you don't bring additional things.
She provided her passport, required documents, and additional documents to different windows and then waited approximately 3 hours for her interview. She said that she was asked 3 questions -- how/when we met, the last time I (the petitioner) was in the US, and about the co-sponsor (specifically, where we will be living). Overall quite painless. The woman who interviewed my fiancee was "friendly and helpful but didn't say too much".
Unfortunately, she received a 221g form because we were unaware of a requirement. Apparently a certificate proving there are no impediments to marriage is required but it wasn't clearly spelled out on any of the required document information sheets. You can get the certificates at any Public Service Hall in Georgia but it takes about a week. We got that form, sent it into the embassy, and received our visa about two weeks after sending the form in.
