Manila, Philippines | Review on February 13, 2007: | Richard&Maria
Rating: | Review Topic: K3 Visa
Maria arrived very early and nervous but was finished before noon at embassy. She came prepared with an organized folder of additional evidence, photos and documents. Prescreening and interview went very quickly. CO knew how to pronounce stateside sponsor's last name correctly, which is extremely obscure - had to be of same ethnicity. Few questions regarded how many times we met. CO intently read Maria's official annulment of previous marriage and asked a few questions regarding her past relationship and eldest son. Nothing was asked of the two boys in attendance, but they had also came prepared with a folder of their own, which included mutual activities when I visited the Philippines. CO during interview started hand-voiding Maria's and boys' tourist visas in their surrendered passports; a good sign, you can't have both K-1/K-2 visas AND tourist visas. The hoped-for "pink slip" was attached to Maria's document pile at interview end and Maria went to pay the Delbros delivery fee before leaving.
