We had an interview at 9:15 this morning and arrived with plenty of time to spare. We sat in the car and waited until 5 minutes before 9 and walked up to the line. I asked an officer if it'd be okay to bring in water and crackers for ma 1.5 year old son. Totally fine.

The line for our interview had nobody in it, while the other line had about 6 people waiting. We were called up to the window fairly fast and got our number. We went through security and then walked through the building, outside, and then into the next building.

We were greeted with a man who directed us to Window 22 where we could say why we were there and pay the $230 fee. Nobody was in that line, so we were able to pay right away and then sit down and wait for the next step.

About 5 minutes later we were called up to window 20 where my husband had his fingerprints taken, he signed a couple papers, and I filled out the Deutsche Post Briefmarke with our address. Our telephone numbers and addresses were confirmed once again. And then we sat back down to wait until we were called to the next window.

About 70 minutes later (just over an hour) we were called up to window 17. We had to take an oath that the information that was on the paperwork was true and everything that we were talking about was also true. We were then asked a couple questions: How we met. Where we met. What my husband's occupation was and why it appeared that he had recently changed jobs. Where we were going to live. And I'm pretty sure that was it!

It all lasted about 5 minutes and then he said he was approved! He told us how the visa would be put as a sticker inside of my husband's passport and it will come in the mail to us in a few day, possibly a week. Not the open the second envelope, etc.

It was all a very easy and everybody was very friendly.
