Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Finding a parking spot was easy, there were many available in the area. I went to the US citizen line (the other line is for non-immigrant visas) and was immediatly asked to counter 2. There I showed the invitation letter and my passport.
Then I went throught the security check and walked over to the consulate. I was told to go to counter 22 directly. I had no payments to make and was given a paper that explained what all was going to happen in the consulate that day. I waited for like 10min and was asked to counter 20 where my stuff got checked and the DHL Expressmarke was filled out. Then I had to wait again for a little while. Then I was asked to counter 17, made an oath to tell the truth, was asked some random questions about my husband and me and was told to sit back down. About 5 min later I got asked to counter 17 again where I was told my conditional visa would arrive in the mail in the next 5 business days.
It arrived the next morning.
The whole process in the consulate took only 1 hour incl. the security check.
