We had our appointment at 10am and we showed up at 9am so they didn\'t let us in until 30 minutes prior;so, at around 930 they called us in and checked out appointment letter. They checked our papers before we walked into the building and they told us to keep the cell phone battery out of the cell phone and then they took it from us and gave us a number so we can get it back after we were done.
Then we sat in the back room where is the \"resident visa\" because the room in the front was the \"tourist visa\"
They called us around 10:25am and asked for our forms and I offered them more proves of our relationship and they said \"no thank we have enough\" and they asked my fiancée everything, they didn\'t ask me anything. They took all the forms, births certificate, police records, medical papers, my income tax 2012 only, 3 pay check from my job and the letter from the bank, they did not take or even look at my employer letter
The first lady asked my fiancée if she has ever been in USA, and how we met and if we had any kids. After all 3 questions, there was a moment of pause where she was reading from my k-1 package the paper I turned in where I explained how we met \"like comparing her answer\"
Then, she gave some of our k-1 paper back and told us to sit down. We sat down right in front of the window where the \"main lady the one who approves\" was interviewing people. They pretty much approved every one. The only two I heard who didn\'t get approved were because one, her medical exam paper expired, and the other one, because her sponsor did not make enought income, in her case, I heard the sponsor was making 25k a year and he needed to make 35k.
Then around 11:30am they called us and they ask my fiancée for her finger prints and then asked us the following questions while looking at the first set of pictures I sent in our k-1 package. If my fiancée has been in the USA before, how we met, how many times I have come to visit her, if we had any kids, and if we were married before.
After that she said you \"you are approved, please go to your dhl to pick up your passport and your visa\" and she gave us out old pic back 
I just want to give out a few pointers and corrections.
First, it was not cold at all in there as other post hehehe, I was actually hot and even my fiancée was hot.
Second, I thought it was a pretty laid back consulate, they were all nice as long as you have all your paper work in order from the very beginning (k-1 package)
When asked for how and when we met and how many times I have come and visit, my fiancée gave exact day, month and year of when we met and the times I came to visit her, I noticed that they smiled when they heard my fiancée say \"from and to dates\" I thought they were looking for exact dates, and that is what we gave them.
I also recommend if you are reading this review before sending your k-1 package, please SENT AS MUCH PROVE AS YOU CAN! And make sure all the paper work is filled out correctly.
On my k-1 package I sent everything listed and recommended on the visa journey website. I think the pictures of us together and with family and friends help 50% and the other 50% was the Skype called I have made 5 times a day from the first time we met for at least 9 months every single day; and they were the paid ones and not the free Skype to Skype lol I thought that showed commitment that I was serious about my fiancée.
Anyways, here are the documents I brought for our interview just in case:
-DS 156
-DS 156K
-Passport
-2 5cmx5cm pictures
-Medical results in sealed envelope
-Birth Certificate
-Police Record
-DS230 (they did not take)
financial stability folder:
-Affidavit of Support, I-134
-Letter from bank (just saying how much I have in saving and checking account)
-Bank Statements (they didn't take)
-Letter from Employer (they didn\'t take)
-W2 from 2011-2012 (they only took 2012)
-VA paper (military benefits)
-3 most recent pay stubs
Even thought I also brought the below, they said they didn\'t need them, because they had all the prove they needed.
I would recommend you still get them, just in case.
-New letters of intent
-Passport entry stamps into Ecuador
-Hotel bills
-Boarding Passes
-About 25 pictures
-Google Calls
-Screen shots of Skype call logs
-Various email threads
-Receipt of the engagement ring
-Bank statements from my last trip to Ecuador
-Western Union receipts
