All in all our experience at the US embassy in Nairobi was great compared to what we anticipated to run into. My wife's interview was at 7.15am so we decided that she gets there at 5.30AM to be among the first in line. she Arrived at 5AM but there were people already lined up. at around 6AM they called people that had interviews between 6 and 7 AM. It didnt matter if you were in front of the line or not. At 6.50AM they called in those that had interview between 7 and 8 AM which inluded my wife. when she got in a kenyan lady asked her a fe questions and took her appointment letter. Then gave her a number after which she moved on to the next lady who was also kenya. The lady took her finger prints and asked her to wait to be called to the window. After a while she was called to the window by a nice lady who asked her a few questions without looking at any evidence even though my wife was well prepared since I had frontloaded the evidence. The CO returned the original marriage certificate and my wife's birth certificate since we sent the original ccopies to NVC.she was then told congrats you are approved and handed a green sheet, a white sheet containing instructions and told to pick up her passport the in a week from DHL. They took new passpot pictures and returned those we sent to NVC and original police report since we had given them a copy. I almost passed out when I called my wife and she played a joke on me saying she was denied only to burst out laughing. I checked the CEAC site and was confused to see that our case was on administrative review after 3 days though it changed to issued. I had spent a few days calling the embassy and even sent an email trying to figure out what the AP was for but I gues its just a default status they put the case on as they work on issuing the visa. i was able to get my wife back for her prank on me I told her the AP meangt she had to go back to the embassy for the secoond time coz they missed something the was so pissed then I laughed at her telling her it was payback for what she did to me after the interview. we are picking up her passport in 2 days from DHL and hopefully she will be here in 2 to 3 weeks. For any one starting this painfull journey please dont give up for me this is my second filing because our first I130 was denied due to a screw up by our church on our marriage certificate so we went through the pain twice in a year and a half. I also involved my congresswoman who was very helpfull after the case compllted at NVC to schedule an expedited interview at the embassy. we stapled together the embassy appointment with the letter from the congresswoman as the first page just so that when we handed it to the embassy staff they would be aware our congresswoman was interested in our case and was following it. I am not sure if itr helped but it was a relief knowing my congresswoman cared enough to get involved. We are in the final preparation for mywifes travel at the moment. The questions asked at the embassy are shown below.
1.is this your first marriage: Yes
2.who is petitioning for you: My husband
3. how many people attended your wedding: 300-500 (the actual number may have actually been close to 1000)(CO: wow thats alot of people)
4. Are you currently pregnant: Yes (CO: could you move your jacket so i can see; my wife lift her jacket to show the CO)

CO: congrats you have been aproved please follow the instructions to pick up your passport in a week(Handed my wife green aproval sheet;white paper with instructions and a pamplet about women rights in case of abuse and also returns originals)

Thank you all for the journey we have had together I will update you on our future updates please do not hesitate to shoot me a message in case you have any question i can assist: this process forces patience down your throat whether you like it or not, at the end I believe it makes you a better person you learn patience and humility by force. i gues the end justifies the means in this case.Enjoy the journey coz you miss it when its over...Its kinda addictive calling USCIS or NVC amillion times and holding for hours just to be told the same answer everytime and answer you have come to expect...Cant wait to pickup my baibe at the Airport I have choreographed it in my brain so many times..the pictre is nothing but perfection...love with no bounderies...international love..excuse my rants just letting out the negative energy that IU have develeoped in the last so many months so that i can embark on the fun part of it.. God bless you all...
