So my Brazilian fiance showed up to Dr. Duarte's office a bit late Monday morning because he said it was a bit tricky to find. He rushed to get the rest of the blood work done etc to get back in time to pick up the signed medical exam. On his way back to the office the secretary called to let him know that she had forgotten to have Dr. Duarte sign the form so he would need to go to another city to track him down to get the signature. After hours of traffic he got the signature and was ready for the interview the next day.
He got to the consulate around 6 am and must have had his interview about 10 am. He said the woman doing the interview was very very kind. She asked:
-Where did the two of you meet? (We had met on a mission)
-Have you ever been to the US? (no but she's come here)
-Does she already have her wedding dress? (yes)
-What does it look like? ( he went on to describe my wedding dress drama)
She then said "ok well good luck in the US!" and he said "wait, that's it?" and she said "ya, you're approved!"
I was, however, unsatisfied with the customer service the consulate provides. When they do respond to your emails they give you the minimum amount of information, just enough to get you to stop emailing. This created a very confusing run around in regards to the police records. Tip: You CAN get the policia federal online, unless the site is unluckily glitchy for you! Then you have to physically get it. States: always call the state to ask!
