Hey all ,My visa was approved today and issued as per the CEAC website . the experience was pretty good and didn't take time .
I arrived at 6.15 am and there were around 5 people, they formed one line at 6.45 and then lines were separated to immigrant visas and non immigrants at 7am .i was number 4 in the immigrant visas line, they let us in at 7.20 am . we took numbers then they started at 7.30 to call numbers. i met a lady who asked about my medical file , personal photos and my passport , then she returned some copies of my birth and marriage certificates , additional documents previously submitted to NVC .
She asked what my husband work and if i have an explanation from him why he wasn't working here in egypt and asked about my original police certificate i told her she stapled it with the documents. she then handed me a paper to go pay the dhl fees.
At 9am CO started calling numbers again , they weren't in order .
The CO was so nice but he rarely smiles , the interview was in english , he asked about the DHL paper then asked to swear that all my DS230 info is correct and then took my fingerprints and gave me my original birth and marriage certificate.
The questions were :
- When did we get married ?
- How did we meet and when ?
- Why did we marry so quickly ? ( as i met my husband april 2009 and got married feb 2010)
- When did my husband travel to the us
- How did he get his citizenship
- Where is he working now and was he working in egypt
- When did he start his job
- What does my husbands company do
- How long did he stay in the Us
- Did i travel before to the us
- Did i travel abroad , where and why
- Whose XX ( my co sponsor ) ,How do we know him
- Do we have kids and their ages
- Am i gonna work in us and in which speciality
Then he congratulated me for approving the visa , he said it should arrive in 2 weeks and that there is a new fee to be paid before traveling.
He didn't ask for any photos and i didn't offer to show him any as well.
I finished the interview and was out at 9.35am .
Wish all of you good luck
