My Fience arrived at the embassy at 6:30 am and said that there was already people waiting. they let him in at 7:10 and gave him the number of 601. he waited until almost noon. he said it was nice inside and that the tea was good and cheap. when he was called up he asked if they could talk in arabic, the co asked if my fience and i talk in arabic, he said no. so the co said then you have to talk in english. then they took his fingerprints and his passport. he had to sign a piece of paper and write my name, then he gave them his orginal birth and military record, as well as his medical packet.
they asked him:
what are her parents names and their jobs, (he told them and asked if the co wanted to see copies of emails between my parents and him, the co asked if he talked to my parents and he said yes do you want to see the proff and the co said no)
then,what is her job
does she live alone
how did you meet (he told them the name of the website, the CO didn't know it so he had to write it down, then was asked why he was on this website. My fience said to make friends from other countries and to learn about other cultures)
the co asked how many times we met in person and when was the first time we met. (4 times do you want to see the plane ticket and photos of her here with me now? the co said no need)
through out the interview the co was very polite, and my fience kept offering to show him more proof like skype conversations emails, photos ect. the co kept refusing. My fience said the co looked at our big file and was asking questions from that. then the co handed him a piece of paper saying we were in ap and that we would know about our case in 3 weeks and that we could check the website after 1 week. my fience told him we were getting married in the states in 5 weeks and if there was any way that this could be done quicker. the co said it wasn't his department and he couldn't help us. my fience was unsure about what the paper ment and asked the co he said don't worry your case looks good but it needs to have administrative processing. then my fience asked an egyptian employee what this ment and the man said this happens to everyone and you will get your visa in 3 weeks. my fience said that he saw people being refused and that those people got their pasports back, he also said it was crowded and there were people of all ages there for interviews. he said the only ones that got approved right away from what he could tell where the ones getting a tourist visa. well, it has now been one week and so far our case isn;t in the system.
