I had my interview on 23 May 2013 at 12.30. I arrived at the embassy gate at 11.30, way too early. I had to wait for an hour until the guard let me and other applicants in. I showed to the guard my appointment email from the embassy, went thru the screening, not allowed to bring electronic devices, usb disc and food/drink, so they keep my handphones and usb. Then i went inside the consulate office found window 5 as instructed in the email. An Indonesian lady asked my passport and medical result first, i was confused because Dr Indrayati told me that the medical result will be sent directly to the embassy within 7 days maximum so I thought it was there already as my medical check up was done on 14 May. I just showed her the medical check up payment receipt and a note from the Doctor that I have a good health condition. The lady told me thats fine. Then she asked me to give the rest of the document, had me write down my fiance name at DS-156 form and sign it. Then i paid the visa fee at window 6 then waited until i got called to enter window 1. There was a man greeted me and had my finger prints. He asked me a few questions, when I met my fiance and when, did we travel together and where to, what does he do for living, where does he live, what would I do after I enter US. He said I still need to submit my medical check up. Then he handed me a white slip with instruction and said the visa wil be processed after I give them the medical result. I left the embassy at around 2pm.
I called Medikaloka asking about my Medical Result, the girl at the front office told me to meet the doctor on 28 May to get the Medical Result. so the visa is not yet in my hand but since several members have asked me about how the interview was going, I posted this to help them prepare.
Actually it was a very good experience at the consulate . The lady at window 5 was not too friendly but considered nice. The Interviewer was friendly. I just wish the Lab Clinic has given me a clear information about where the medical result would go as I'd rather have waited for the medical result in my hand before going to intervew.
