Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My interview was scheduled for 7:30am and I got there at about 6:50am. A security officer met me walking toward the line and asked if I am here for an immigrant or non immigrant visa. I indicated it’s a immigrant visa, he instructed to get in the line to my right and have my passport, 2 pictures and letter in hand to be checked by a lady. That line had about 5 persons, another officer instructed those people to proceed to the screening area and I was left standing there alone in line as my documents were not yet checked.
My documents got checks about a minute after and I was instructed to move to the screening area and to remove my belt, and ensure I did not an umbrella or liquid in my bag. I moved thru there quickly and was direct to get in line for a number. The lady at that desk moved pretty fast, I got number A124 and by 7:05am I was seated and waiting for the next step.
The numbers started flashing on the screen and yes it now my turn to hand in my medical and take my fingerprints.
Interviews started going by very quickly, as some person were missing important information such as police record, Affidavit of Support, copies of their parent/sponsor green card or naturalization certificate and was asked to turn those in.
Only one person ahead of me got an outright denial, that’s because he was arrested twice 22yrs ago.
Now my name is echoing over the microphone by this elderly interviewer but very pleasant indeed.
Interviewer: Good morning
Me: Good Morning
Interviewer: Can I have your passport
Interviewer: Raise your right hand, and then read the´’ I swear script’
Me: I swear
Interviewer: How did you and your spouse met
Me: Gave him the whole story in which he was delighted to listen to, he even laughed.
Interviewer: Where do you work?

At approximately 9:15am I was at the gate waiting for my driver to pick me up.
