I Personally believe the consulate operates just a the government in that country -To the only difference of corruption-. The local staff in contrast to the Americans is very arrogant and unable to provide a good service. Each time you call there, the lady keeps on telling you that - you are calling us during an interview time, like it was my business to know-. The CHIEF officer is a young dude from NY who is in his 30's who will pick up the phone and tells you "the CO is not available, therefore you need to talk to one of his staff member. My experience there was not the best and I don't even need to meet with the people there.
-The security guards outside are bunch of idiots, they too have a negative role in the whole process of this consulate, they harassed my wife several times, by privately asking her phone number every time she went there. I pray God every day so I don't have to deal with that place in my life.
-The CO still in the process of learning the local language -French- However, he dares to conduct interviews in French, a language in which he does not know very well. his formulation is odd, but the response to those not so well formed questions are the determining factor to Visa issuance. Another thing to mention, he likes cutting people off, not giving them the time to fully answer the very same questions he asked.
-I will give them a benefit a of doubt for this time, and wishing my future experience will be more pleasant that what I did experience.
