My fiancée had her interview at 15:00, so I asked her to leave her home (in Hay Mohamadi) at 13:00 because of the bad Traffic in Casablanca. She was at the consulate around 13:20. She went to a nearby coffee shop until 14:45 then went to the consulate.
After security check, they let her in, then a Moroccan guy asked for her paper work i,e DS 156, DS 156 k… While waiting for her interview she saw the Blonde lady, Asian lady and another Moroccan guy discussing her file for almost 15 minutes, then the Moroccan guy give my fiancée big smile which make her think that everything is all right. My fiancée told me that she felt that her visa was approved even before the interview, and I read in VJ forum the same thing for different applicants.
She was interviewed by the Blonde lady, despite a lot of commons that I read here that she is a tough lady that everyone wants to avoid; my fiancée told me that she was nice, and treat her with respect and dignity. She asked her when and where did we meet, how many times I visited her, why we didn’t get married when I was in Morocco, what’s my job, and when I divorced my ex wife. That was it. Then she told my fiancée something in English that she didn’t understand, and my fiancée reply “ you welcome” and they both start laughing.
2 days later they call her at her cellular phone, and asked her to come pick up her visa at next day at 15:00.
Advises for people waiting for interview:
1. Be confident, be yourself, smile, if someone try to provoke you stay cool, and DON’T LIE.
2. Check one twice…your form for any small error because it my cost you.
3. Make your file on 3 files: the first you can call it the master file( paper that you will give to the consulate when you just get in) passport, photo, DS 156, DS 156k, DS 157, DS 230, medical exam, affidavit of support, employement verification, bank statement, Taxes..the second one you put on it copy of your application I129, G 325, letter of attend, copy of citizenship, anything that you sent to USCIS, and the last file put all the evidence in a way that you know where is anything if they asked for it.
4. If your petitioner has good Job give the last 3 taxes income instead of one, give 3 bank statement, and 3 last check.
Advises for people that didn’t apply yet.
1. If you thinking about filing for K1 visa don’t, the best thing you can do is to get married and file for CR1. It took me one year, $2000 dollars, then the result is 50% chance you will get it. The CR 1 take the same time, same money and the chance is 90%.
2. If you choose to apply for K1 then fill up with a lot of evidence, whatever you can think of. Because when it reach the consulate most of the time they don’t ask for more evidence, so pack it in advance.
This my review I hope it’s helpful, and good luck to everyone.
