My fiance had his interview on March 6. He said the woman interviewing him was very nice, and smiled at him in a friendly manner. She asked him only four questions, however, about 1. my previous divorce (which happened a year ago, after a three year custody battle-they have proof of divorce and documentation showing I have been legally separated since 2008.) 2. his work experience 3. If I have been to visit since leaving Morocco in June 2012 (he said yes, as I visited for 10 days in January) and 4. his plans in the US. She then told him that everything was ok, but handed him his passport and said she would contact him in 1 or 2 weeks. She did not give him a 221g form or ask him for any additional information.
We provided a LOT of evidence of our relationship, and my income far exceeds the minimum required by the US citizen. While I live in the US now, I lived in Morocco between 2009-2012 with my daughter, and worked at the same American school as my fiance for three years. We have been together for three years, and engaged for one, and he is the father figure to my five year old daughter.
It has been two weeks and we have not heard anything from the consulate. I called the consulate to inquire but the people with whom I spoke had limited English. I tried speaking in Arabic and French, but they still could not give me any information. I have no idea what is going on, and little to do but to wait and hope that they contact us soon.
