Hi
Interview appointment was for 7am on March 1st at the embassy in Bangkok. My wife got there at about 6:15. There were 12 folks ahead of her. We discussed everything she would experience on entry and in the interview. I would say we were extremely well prepared. All the docs she needed to get in were readily available. I did not expect they would ask for my income records but she needed to have these to show the personal on the way in. There was of course a long wait.. I phoned about 3 hours later and she told me the good news. ACCEPTED. The only issue was with the birth certificate which was not available although we tried to get it from the Amphur in Bangkok. They sent us back to Chiang Mai where an immigration lawyer we know in Bangkok told us what substitute documents we would need. The interviewer spoke to her in Thai which was a blessing. She carefully explained why we were unable to get the actual birth certificate and he asked about how we met and our relationship in general. The process took about 5 minutes. No additional docs were asked for although we were fully prepared. The interviewer was professional and courteous in his interaction with my wife. He clearly was satisfied with my wife's explanation as to why we did not have the original certificate. Good experience - the wait in unavoidable
Peace to all and best of luck in your journeyjavascript:emoticon('')
