Egypt Review on February 13, 2013:

Sarah & Bahry

Rating:
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husbands interview was February 12 (yesterday).

Me and my husband are both from Palestine, Gaza, and hes been in egypt for the past 3 months waiting for the interview. My husband is 22 and I am 20, I met him when I was 17 and he was 19 at the time.

When he arrived they took his cellphone and iPad.
He took a number and was called by an egyption lady who asked for his medical, passport, and photo. My husband thought she was very nice and also started a conversation with her, she was in her 30s. He waited 3 hours to be called by a CO, She only asked him three questions:

-Whos Sarah? A: My wife
-When did you get married? A: July 31, 2011
-How did you meet? A: My mom and her mom are close friends and our family lives next to her family and I see her every year she comes to Gaza. First time I saw her was 2009.

Then my husband asked her (CO) if she was from egypt she said yes, my husband said she looked muslims so he assumed she was muslim. She told my husband he can have a seat and she will call him back. So he waited almost another 2 hours untill she called him back in, a guy came in also, (my husband started getting worried) he was American and asked for pictures from our wedding. My husband told him the pictures were all with me in America but he has Facebook, yahoo, and skype screenshots. The guy started laughing while reading our conversations. Then told my husband ok you are approved Congratulations. My husband asked him how long will it take for the visa to arrive he said 10 days 2 weeks the most. He also told my husband that there is a new fee for the USCIS of $165 (Started February 1, 2013) that needs to be paid after he gets the visa and before the departures to America, he gave him the website and information with him. He left his passport with him also.

My husband also told me that there was a mean lady who wasnt from egypt that was giving everyone either AP or Denying them, luckly he was interviewed by a nice lady who was from egypt, and according to my husband she was muslim.

I havent seen my husband in almost 2 years (Since our wedding).. & Inshallah he arrives bilsalama <3.

I hope everyone the Best of Luck with there interview.
