I arrived at Abu Dhabi one day ahead of my interview as I am staying in Dubai. I checked in at a nearby hotel so I can easily go to the US Embassy for my 8AM Appointment the following day. Here's the summary of my Interview Experience at USEM Abu Dhabi:

Last February 6, 2013 I arrived at 6:50AM at the US Embassy Compound for my 8:00AM Interview Appointment. One Arabic family is already waiting there at the waiting area of the Immigrant Visa Section when I arrived. Around 8:00AM one of the security guards approached us to check one by one our Appointment Letters and passports, then few minutes later we we're instructed to proceed to the entrance of the embassy for security checking, we were told to enter the main entrance in twos then the security guards have asked us to switched off our phones and hand over our bags prior allowing us to go to the main building of the US Embassy. I entered the main building of the embassy around 8:20AM, a lady guard sitting at the entrance of the main building of the embassy gave me a number (i was given No. 02 slip), instructed me to seat near to window no. 08 and wait till my number flash on the screen located on the upper portion of each window. The entire place was calm and relax while we waited for our number to flash on the screen. Around 8:30AM my number flashed on window number 08, I approached the window and the Indian lady standing at the other side of the window requested for my documents. These are the documents that I've provided to her:

After all my documents were sorted by the Indian Lady, she returned to me some of the original docs because she took only the copies of those documents, she then gave me a blue slip along with my passport and instructed me to pay $240 at the Cashier (located near the main entrance) and told me to return the receipt and passport to her after i paid the MRV fee. I did what i was told to do, after paying $240 at the Cashier I went back to window no. 08 and returned my passport & the receipt to the Indian lady who took all my documents. I was told to sit and wait for my number to be called on another window for the next step. After approximately 10mins of waiting, my number was called on another window for biometrics (finger printing)then I was told to sit and wait again till my number flash on the monitor. Few minutes after my biometrics I saw my number flashed on window no. 06 where a nice American Consul Officer was standing, before she started asking me some questions she asked me to raise my right hand to take an oath, after that she started to ask me the following questions (she was looking at our pictures and documents while asking:

1. How did you & your fiance met? * she was really happy while looking at our pictures especially our grade school class picture coz she finds it really cute
2. How long is he staying in the US?
3. What does he do in the US?
4. What's my work here in UAE?
5. Where does my fiance live?
6. Have you ever been to the US?
7. Do you have any relatives in the US?

After asking those questions she asked me if I already registered for the CSC Website, then I told her i already signed up on that site, she then said alright here's your receipt you'll have to give us at least 5 days to notify you regarding your passport, from what she said I knew right there and then that I am Approved but just to be sure i decided to ask the CO "does that mean that I am Approved?" she then gave me sweet smile and said "Yes you are Approved". Upon hearing those words i felt relieved and really happy! At 9:19AM I was already outside the Embassy and was already calling my fiance to tell him the good news. Everything was really worth it! An Answered Prayer Indeed!
