Hi Vjers!
My visa interview went very well. Approximately 30 minutes for the whole process.
My husband and I got there around 12pm however, the guard wont let you in until 10 minutes before your appointment. (Please don't forget to email the embassy and notify them that your husband will accompany you during the interview. If not, they will not allow him in).
Went inside and I was the first one in for the immigrant visa (yay!) I would advise to sit in the first row, in front of locket 5. This is to assure that you can go first! The Indonesian lady immediately called all the Immigrant candidates to line up and submit all the original documents, and made you open your medical check up (just submit the results and keep the x-ray). Afterwards, she will give you a pamphlets regarding domestic violence for Immigrants for you to read while waiting to be called for the actual interview.
Waited for a couple of minutes and the CO called my name. (Hooray for being the first one!, BIG advantage!) I was asked to raised my right hand and confirm that all these informations are true. Then, he passed the I-130 forms for me to sign it. O, please greet the CO and put a smile on your face (I guess Im just a bubbly person, :P)
Afterwards, he asked me a few questions:
1. How and when did you first meet?
2. When did you get married?
3. When he was in Indonesia, what was your husband doing?
4. How often did you or he visited you?
5. When and how did he proposed?
6. How do you communicate after he left Indonesia?
It felt like a breeze answering those questions. Luckily, the CO was really nice Hence, I wasn't as nervous as before. It was very professionally done! Towards the end, he did asked about our photos Obviously I did a photo collage from the very first meeting till today and printed all those pages (25 pages including 50 photos) and bind them just like a book. Please avoid bringing bulky photo albums as it wont probably fit with the thin locket to pass it to the CO.
With much of the process, he passed me the white slip and told me to pick up my passport in 4 business days.
Overall, the process went great! I am extremely happy and lets hope that there are no further changes in my CR-1 visa.
Good luck for those who will be having their interview. It will be a breeze and yes, the key to a success interview is confidence!
