Alhumdulillah everything went well for my husband. They did in fact give him a blue paper that says 221g. It says that he needs to update his passport (which expires in 2-3 months). They gave back all of our original documents. They kept this passport and said your procress should be complete in about 2-3 months. Alhumdulillah. Even though we are put on AP... I'm grateful that the interview procress went well. They did ask him why our nikkah ceremony was so small.... Going to be in Pakistan in 2 months .... Can't wait to see my husband and in sha Allah bring him back home wth me.

From his perspective:
I got to the embassy around 7:30 and went inside the gates. I made two copies of my interview letter... One to show the people for the entrance and one for the CO during my interview. They check my belongs in... Took my phone (because phones are not allowed). They took my fingerprints and told me to have a seat. My interview was at 8am. By that time I was called over for my interview. There were 2 people at the window. One was white and the other one pakistani. They asked me in what language do I want to take my interview, I said urdu. They white guy just kept typing while the desi guy asked me questions about my relationship. He asked me what my wife's name is he asked me about my in laws and what they do for a living. Then he asked me about my nikkah and I should him pictures. He was distraught after looking at the pictures. The desi guy said this just looks like a family gathering. 'Why was your nikkah done like this?' I replied, bcos my older brother was not married... We had to do a small gathering. Then he asked why dont you have any children. I replied, becos my wife is still studying and so I am plus we both are very young. We have out whole lives ahead of us to have kids. The white man then smiled. The desi guy then handed me a blue peice of paper which said I need need to submit an updated. He then gave me a green paper which said I am on AP... But it's a formality that all men get. He then said it takes about 2 months to be on AP... I asked him if my interview is cleared and he said yes, but hurry with the passport It took longer to get inside and situated than the actual interview... Which was only 10 minutes. Overall it was a good experience. Just remember to tell the truth about everything. Be confident and in sha Allah everything will work out.
