So here is my review about my visa interview.My interview was scheduled at 7:30 AM on 6 Dec 2012. I reached the consulate at 6:15 AM and there was already a huge line over there. At around 7:00 AM we were asked to make 2 lines 1 for non immigration and 1 for immigration. I was #3 in the immigration line and we were taken in for security check and this is where another line is formed based on who finishes the check first so I was #4 in the line. There are 2 interviews which take place 1st being with an indian who looks at your case asks for a few certificates which they need to look at before the american official takes a look at your case. The indian official asked me (1) Who is filing for you?
(2) How long did you live in Canada? ( I've been living in Canada for 4 years came to India only for the interview)
(3) When did you get married.
Then I was asked to wait. After 10-15min I was called at the second interview,it was pretty short too, they asked me to take an oath, sign my DS 230. She asked me (1) Who is filing for you?
(2) When did you see your husband last?
(3) When and where did you get married?
Then she said that my visa was approved! I was out @ 8:15 AM
All the people there VFS/ Indian and American official at the counters were very nice. I guess if your case is clear and your documentation is clear they will not give you any issue. In all my expeience was great.
