Easy...The Embassy called us several times at our home (Moravia) the morning of the interview. We arrived to the Embassy at 11:15 a.m. and they were calling my wife before we entered the building. Upon entry, we were sent directly to the interview window without waiting a minute. All of the questions were in spanish, as my wife does not speak english. My wife was asked some pretty simple questions: Where did we meet; How did we meet; How many times had I visited and Where do I live. We were then asked to provide evidence of an on-going relationship. We submitted an entire photo album full of pictures (I travel to CR every three months). In addition, I submitted a years worth of phone records from my wireless company. I was asked to submit my most recent tax returns. My wife was sent to another window for digital fingerprints. We were then told to come back at 1:00 p.m. for a follow-up interview. We returned at 12:45 p.m. and maybe waited 10 minutes before being sent to another window for a follow-up interview. The lady interviewing my wife asked some similar questions from the previous interview. The lady then began questioning me in spanish. She asked me what I do for a career, where do I live and how may times I have been to CR. After she was finished with her questions she said the Visa has been approved.
She then told us we can return the following Monday to pick-up the Visa packet at 3:00 p.m.
We returned the following Monday 11/26/2012 to pick up our Visa. We waited maybe 10 minutes. We were directed to a window where a man was waiting with a packet a my wife's passport containing the Visa. He explained to us the conditions of the Visa pertaining to CR-1's how much we have to leave the country before the Visa expires and informed us approximately when we can expect a green card in the mail.
It was only at that point when I new I could finally purchase airfare.
¡Pachanga!
