We got approved at the interview on November 26th and we received the visa today in the post! Overall the interview was fine. Questions are below
- Where, when and how did ye meet?
- Why did ye decide to continue a long distance relationship?
- When and where did ye get married?
- Is your husband in America now? (This was asked in a couple of different ways)
- How many times has your husband been to Ireland?, how many times have you been to the states?
- Why have ye decided to move to the states?
- What is your husbands name (funny I know but when you are nervous the words fumble a bit). Who is your sponsor?
The Administrator is not very helpful at all. I, and everyone else had to rush out and get a bigger envelope. THE ENVELOPE SIZE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS POSTED OUT IS NOT BIG ENOUGH. You need a 14.5" x 18.5" (size K at An Post) envelope. Also there needs to be 12.50 euros worth of stamps on the envelope, not 12 as stated in the instructions. Apologies to anyone if this changes again as it seems like that may change by the day.
The interviewer was friendly enough. Stay focused on the question being asked
Overall, come prepared with x 2 visa size photos ( I was only asked for one but another man was asked for 2), originals or certified copies of birth cert, marriage cert and copies of everything else, including all forms that were given in. The whole thing took 1 hour and 45 minutes.
