My wife and her daughter went alone to the interview. The interview was at 12:30 and they arrived at 10. They were let in close to 12:30 and were told to hurry and go to window 5. There they spoke with a lady who was very serious. She was looking through the packet that I had submitted to the NVC. She asked my wife these questions. Where was your husband born? My wife answered, Los Angeles Calif. How long have you two been married? The last time I saw her in person? Then told my wife that I was born in New York. My wife told her no, Los Angeles California. She then said ok and told her to take a seat.

An hour later, a man asked her to come to the window, who was not as serious and greeted her. She then asked her if she swore everything that was inside the packet was true, she said yes. Then asked her if she was nervous and my wife said yes. He asked her why and she told her because he was going to make the decision if all of us were going to be together as a family. He then told her not to worry that all of the paperwork was in order and told her congratulations welcome to the U.S. My wife said she started crying and thanked the gentleman and told him thank you, he smiled and laughed. She was given a form to register and explained how to pick up the passports in approx 10 days. He told her not to buy any tickets until she had the passports in hand, but said he has never heard of anybody having problems receiving the passports, but it was something he had to tell her. He congratulated her again and my wife called me at 3:00 to give me the great news.

If you are going to the interview with children, i recommend getting there very early. My daughter received one shot on Tues Nov the 6th. My daughter had a recent surgery and she was given all of her shots and they were up to date on the day of the exam. The Dr told her she had to receive all of the shots and the package cost about $250. Medical exams for both on Thursday the 8th and wife received all of her shots too which was about $150. They returned on Friday for the results and my daughter received all of her shots then. Overall, the medical side was a little more $$ than what I had planned for. The Dr was very professional and courteous. He explained the reason he has his patients receive all of the shots is to avoid any problems when they arrive at the POE. He said he knows that they say negative things about him on this site, but he he's never had anybody denied at the POE due to the medical exam. Also, the Dr was not happy with the passport pictures because they were 1mm too big, they recommended a Foto Japon close by, even though she had taken those pictures at a foto japon back home. But since they got there very early, it wasn't a big deal.

My wife took a lot of paperwork that I sent to her to the interview, my divorce decree, proof of relationship, pictures, pay stubs, airplane receipts, printouts of our conversation when we first met, employment history, all of the copies that i sent to the NVC, etc. They didn't ask for any of that. My wife even asked them if they wanted to look at a photo album she put together and they told her it wasn't necessary. They only wanted her medical exam, passports and passport pictures

It was a long 2 weeks but glad this part is over!!!!
