Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Husband had breakfast in hotel restaurant and was in a petit taxi by 7:40
and was in line outside across the street with 10 people already there.
8 am they call for the tourist visas first. five by five they metal detected everyone by the hand held gadget and By 8 15 he was in the building.

Went through the stationary detector and into the waiting area. If you have phone, food, camera, bags, all get check in at this point. Even gum. Dont bring anything extra...just your paperwork.
The waiting room had changed since last time there. The chairs now face the interview windows. In July at his k1 all chairs faced the TV on the wall. and now there is an option to buy coffee from a machine in there but only 2 people used it.

He sat down. Then they called for him to give passport and photos.

At this point he had the wrong photos and had to find a photo place to get them done. he said 30 mins he drove around Casablanca with another petit taxi....

back at the consulate
then they asked 4 medical envelope. Sit back down.
*This is where I got in...
We waited watching everyone being called and interviewed.
There was a nice mixture of families with children, older parents looking to visit in addition to the SO's sitting alone.

Because of the photo delay he was one of the last ones interviewed. Around 1pm
When his name was called he was sworn in and asked the questions.

His questions were simple and my husband answered AND elaborated. not just yes or no. or just the answer.

What is your wife's name? Can you spell that? and CO was writing as he spelled my name. Then asked the Nationality of my last name?
Asked if I have children?
Name and age?
How many time she visited you?
Does she work?
Where does she live?

All was answered smoothly by my husband and after the last question...

CO said congratulations your visa is approved. He was the Caucasian man with a light goatee.

If anyone going through CASA needs more info pm me. I actually was in there waiting with him by 11 am......
