My story is long extensive, but at the end of the of there is LIGHT!!!! I went to Cuba to be with my fiance at the interview on Sept 27th.. I am not going to bore you with the details, as usual, we arrived at 5:45am at the park, waited for official to come out and start naming people on the list. We were #137 (I thought they were never going to call us). They called and took his ID Card. We made the line and waited for official to come back and start calling people. Around 10am the official came and called out my fiance's name. I showed my passport so I can go with him. After that we made another line infront of the Consulate. They asked for fiance interview and company (showed american passport again). Went through security, they kept phone and perfume and my cream (you get it back once you leave). Once inside we showed our 230, 156, 157, etc. then we were told to go to another room (where fingerprings, and payments are done $240.00). When they called us to turn in documents, this is where I had a nervouse breakdown, she told us that his package was not there. Major nervouse breakdown. I did not know what to do. The lady told me that since I am a citizen I could come back after 12pm to speak to an official. When waiting outside, a friend of mine had called me on my BF cell to see how my interview went. When I told her the situation she called the NVC for me and found out that my package had left on July 6th. I went back inside the consulate and spoke to an official, and all she told me was that mail is very slow and they would call us once package was there. (Go figure, got package #3 they gave me an interview and package had never arrived to the consulate in Cuba). Once here in Miami, I called the NVC and explained the situation, later (next day) to find out that my package left NVC July 5th (left from Boston to Cincinnatti to Mexico and left to Cuba July 18th and never go there as per DHL). They declaired my package lost, so after so much calling, 4 days after the first call to the NVC, the consulate gave me an apt for my BF to go back for interview, because the NVC sent the petition electronically because package got lost. My BF went to interview on the 15th of October, once there they asked the usual, when did we meet, how many kids did I have, and how many times have I traveled to see him (the evidence was obviouse 28 visits in 1yr 1/2. Through out the interview they asked him for a copy of my citizenship (they would have had it if my package was not lost). So again, they gave him a pass to come back once he had papers. (you could imagine me here). I searched and called everyone I knew to find out on the 15th of October in the afternoon that my cousin was living to Cuba on the 16th, I gave her the docs and he received it on the 16th in the afternoon. BF went back to consulate on the 17th turned in my citizenship and they told him to come back in 15 days to pick up his visa!!!!!!!!!!Yeyyyyyyyyyy. I TOLD YOU THERE WAS LIGHT AT THE END!!!!!!
